Why American or western people think Arabs are light skinned like South Europeans?

Hello everyone my name is Khalid and i'm from pure Arab descent and i'm dark skinned( not african american or Indian). Most of the people think Arabs are light skinned like those people from Eurasia or the middle east.

But Let me tell something, the people from middle east outside the Arabic peninsula are NOT ethnic Arabs. It's called the Arab world because they re muslim to mostly but the most of them are NOT of Arab descent. the most people of middle east are almost the same as mediterranean people and many as north europeans.
The North African Berbers from Egypt to Morocco are mostly light or dark skinned from origin. the people from Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordain and the Caucasus above Turkey and Iraq are light skinned and look like Europeans.

The most people of real Arab origin from the Arab Peninsula are mostly olive skinned or brown skinned with curly, wavy or straight hair with other features than most people from the middle east. I'm Dark skinned( Not the n3gro duff darkish brown/black skin). but there are a lot Arabs with that skin tone but they've not the N3gro features as fat lips big foreheads, hydrophobic frizzy hair, and broad noses.

But there are also Black(n3gro) people in the arab peninsula and they have been their for thousands of years. but that are not the same typical n3gro's like the black people in US of African descent from the westcoast of Africa.
but mostly people of east african tribes like somali and sudanese which has other physical charistics
