That 7th century "invasion of the whites" to North Africa argument is tired and not true. It's propaganda used by Afrocentrist to deny Caucasoids to be indigenous North African. But it makes sense, since the climate of North Africa and southern Europe is in the same climate zone: the Mediterranean.

‘돼지고기 잘익혀야’ 기생충 뇌손상 사진 충격

기생충에 의해 사람 뇌가 손상된 충격적인 사진이 지난 15일(현지시간) 미국 디스커버 매거진을 통해 공개됐다.

미국국립보건원의 뇌전문가 시어도어 내시 박사는 지난 1년간 자신의 클리닉을 방문한 환자들을 MRI 검사 결과, 수십 명에게서 뇌손상을 일으키는 유구조충(갈고리촌충)이 나타났다고 밝혔다.

유구조충은 주로 돼지의 몸속에 사는 기생충으로 덜 익은 돼지고기를 먹거나 오염된 물을 통해서 감염되는 것으로 알려졌다. 따라서 돼지고기를 완전히 익혀 먹고 식사 때마다 손을 깨끗이 씻으면 예방할 수 있다.

↑ 기생충에 손상된 두뇌

내시 박사에 의하면 유구조충에 감염된 환자 대부분은 발작을 일으킨다. 이런 질환을 뇌낭미충증(neurocysticercosis)이라고 하는데 대부분 환자에게서 두통과 구토가 발생하고 심한 경우 발작 증상이 나타난다.

또한 일부 환자는 신체 일부가 마비되거나 똑바로 걸을 수도 없게 된다. 이 밖에도 실명하거나 말을 할 수 없게 되는 환자도 나타난다고.

그 심각성은 공개된 사진을 통해서도 잘 나타난다. 한 환자의 사진을 보면 뇌 곳곳에 구멍이 뚫린 듯한 모양의 커다란 낭종이 보인다. 낭종 안에는 유구조충이 성충이 되기 전까지 애벌레 형태로 자라며 이런 낭종 때문에 뇌 손상이 발생한다.

한편 유구조충은 이름 그대로 머리가 갈고리처럼 생긴 기다란 형태의 기생충으로, 무려 5m 내외까지 성장할 수 있는 것으로 알려졌다.
