i'm
sure it's not as skinny as it seems, maybe it's just the angle, and i
highly doubt his arm is that skinny. It would be kinda funny though

I think it's the angle. Both of Federer's arms are pretty skinny when viewed from the side.

you
guys are joking right? It's bent and his left arm is relaxed. Next time
you play a set or 2, compare your hitting arm to the other one and you
might scream out of disgust.

This
is a funny post. However, if you look closely Roddick's left arm is
also smaller than his right. The players with a one handed backhand
are the ones who end up with a huge difference in arm size. Pete
Sampras had a huge right arm and smaller left. Even Justine Henin
has this difference.

This
is not photo tricks. His left arm is indeed smaller than the right. I
doubt Roger does a lot of work in the gym to achieve muscle balance.

As
some great samurai said so long ago... "You have mighty righty for
honorable tasks, and starvin' marvin to wipe your @$$ with."
But look how involved that right arm is... The forehand, the backhand, the volleys, the serve, the deft shots, and the accented "Come On!"
All kidding aside, muscle balance in terms of arms is still a rarity on the pro tour isn't it?

I don't think the majority of tennis players do any working out to achieve arm ballance. The guys with the two handed backhands like Roddick have more ballanced arms.....but big servers still will have a bigger serving arm. The one handed back hand guys will always have a bigger dominant arm.

Maybe he's become addicted to milking Juliet? With just the right arm anyways.

If
you look (very) closely, you'll see that a couple of inches above the
wrist, the arm is slightly draped by his shirt, making it look smaller.
It's kind of subtle.
Funny though.

I
caught most of RF's morning workout at Wimbledon (worked Wimby last two
years for IBM - access all areas) - you cant really notice the size
difference.

Rod Laver was the one, he had a LEFT forearm like Popeye, Lendl had a big difference too.
JohnThomas1

Roger
has his right arm facing with the widest part showing, the left with
the skinniest. If he turned his left arm and forearm 90 degree's they
would be a lot closer to the same, tho i'm betting the right would still
be bigger.

As has been said already his shirt is covering part of his arm making it look much thinner that it really is.
Look closely...LOL

Bjorn
Borg was one of the worst cases of tree trunk arm I've ever seen, and
he had a two hander. The guy had good muscle build and bulging veins on
his right arm and his left arm looked like it belonged to an 8 year old
girl. I guess you can't have it all!

is exactly right, rod laver was a freak. his left forearm looked like a
leg with a normal sized right arm. biggest difference i have ever
seen...

they
had an article on popeye arm in a tennis mag a while back. they did
the piece on jimmy arias and he had back problems b/c one side was more
developed than the other.
@wright

That's
right, Jay, I was trying to remember who was in that article, I
remember the pic, Jimmy looked freakish. His hitting arm was at least
twice as big as his other arm.
