Romans were Mediterraneans comment

Romans were Mediterraneans; Gauls included mostly Nordic People. The Romans did not see them as the same race, but did consider them attractive. Egyptians considered Blacks as a slave race, and in the case of Pygmies an otherworldly curiosity, but never an attractive people. I should add that a few very dark Egyptians did make it to power in ancient Egypt.
